SUNDAYS kicks off spring with 'Great Big Sky': A prelude to the upcoming album 'Giant Formula'.


Copenhagen, Denmark - The Danish indie-folk band, SUNDAYS, unveils their latest release, 'Great Big Sky,' pulling back the curtain on a musical light beam. Produced by the experienced Asger Techau from the renowned band Kashmir, this single is a tantalizing glimpse into SUNDAYS' forthcoming third studio album, titled 'Giant Formula,' set for release on May 10, 2024.

SUNDAYS has already solidified its position as a formidable player in the Danish music scene, and 'Great Big Sky' promises to immerse listeners in an enticing journey through the band's sonic universe. Asger Techau, with a long career as both a musician and producer, has elevated the band's sound to new heights, crafting a single that radiates with energy, musicality, love and depth.

The band's lead singer, Magnus Jacobsen, exclaims, "We are insanely excited to share 'Great Big Sky' with the world. Working with Asger has once again been an amazing experience, and we feel that the single not only represents our musical evolution as a band, but also paves the way for the sound of 'Giant Formula.'”

The lyrics of the song revolve around being trapped in the possibilities of the past, yet simultaneously realizing that it is the same sky hanging over us all, now as it did back then. This theme of reflection and reconciliation is reflected in both the music and the lyrics, adding a layer of depth and meaning to the otherwise bombastic nature of the song.

'Great Big Sky' is mixed by Nick Korzi in Pittsburgh, PA (US), mastered by Caspar Hesselager from the Danish band Palace Winter, and Kathrine Milner is the artist behind the coverart. The single will be available to listeners on March 1, 2024, and fans can look forward to a summer and fall in 2024 with the opportunity to experience the band live, under the vast sky that stretches over us all.
